building blocks

just got back from the annual conference (work related) in Tokyo
it's my 4th one this year
and it can get quite repetitive


but this time...there was one 3 hrs workshop
where we just...hmm...build things with blocks

yupe! you heard me!

but it was so much fun!!!!!!!!
who could have thought that building blocks could last us for 3 hrs!?!

if i am back in montreal now

it would probably be referred to pumpkins

however since i am in japan

something orange at this time of the season refers to

...persimmons

the merit of living in country side in japan is

i get seasonal veggies and fruits from ppl around me

and guess what i got yesterday?!?

a bag full of persimmons!!

YEAH!

i love them so it's ok

for now...i have endless supply of persimmons

a month ago...i had endless supply of chestnuts

2 months ago...i had endless supply of eggplant, cucumbers, and all kinds of tomatos

in may...i had endless supply of bamboo shoots

go figure how many things grow in her backyard

gold fish scooping is one of my fav
(scooping with a 'net' that is made of thin paper)
you can often find it among the booths during festival

after 10? 15 mins of intense concentration

my paper net finally broke a hole... and ended my scooping

i got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 !!!

apparently this is not a bad score for beginners!! hehe!
