i love living by myself
i love solitude

but sometimes...i envy people who live with their family and are surrounded by friends

i am not being bitter
oh!not at all

i do enjoy my freedom
i do enjoy being independent

just sometimes...
i wish my family and my friends can be just a little bit closer

on family:
it can get quite overwhelming sometimes
after a day of work...tired and hungry
back home and you realized
-need to cook dinner
-a pile of laundry sitting there
-tomorrow is garbbage collect day
-dishes in the sink
-the bills (gas, electricity...etc)
what can you do but sigh, get changed, swallow up your tiredness, get yourself together and 'work' again

that's when i miss the days when
-dinner is ready when i am home
-laundry is dry and fold
-don't have to worry about not making the garbbage collect time...etc.
-i can occasionally be spoiled and lazy
-just have someone to chat with (mindlessly), joke with, fight with, tease with

i love my family and i miss them.
but i am thankful for the situation where God put me in
i think i am closer to my parents ever than before
i pray for them everyday (which i never did when i was living with them)
i share with them and seek guidance from them on spiritual and on just everything (mom, what is the recipe for...? dad, how do you fix the...? haha)

on friends...
hmm...i don't know how to put my feelings into words
just let me say that
during feb and the beginning of march aka my so-called 'TOUGH' period
i really really wished my close friends could be nearby
...loneliness and helplessness can be overwhelming sometimes

but again
i am thankful
when my close friends are not around
i realized that my closest friend is always next to me
He wept off the tear on my eyes
He turned my sorrow into joy
He is faithful
He is all mighty
He is 24/7 (YAY!!)

God is good
but it's still nice to have family and friends nearby...=D

haven't blog in a while...

i think i play a rather 'stalker'-style role in this cyber world
what is new?

1. i got a DSLR camera...Yep! u heard me!! haha!!
it's the first expensive 'toy' i bought for myself since i started working
i am going to take lots of pictures!!

2. i had a brief reunion with my mom!! she was on her way to HK for my cousin's wedding and i was in Tokyo for meeting...timing was just right!!
2 days with my mom was short but precious!!
i got to know a lot of things about my mom that i didn't know before
it's strange to realize how little i know about the person who raised me and lived with for 20 something years...i need to be a better daughter

3. lots of graduation ceremonies...jr high school and elementary schools...
i was so touched at each of them
especially the one in a small elementary school.
i wasn't bawling like most of the students
but i was definitely teary...

4. Mr. Children concert
it was definitely the highlight of this month.
it was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (speechless)
the vocal has an AMAZING voice!!!
great music, lovely company, PERFECT

5. learning about love
as the last post
the theme in my church for this month was on LOVE
God has blessed my pastor so much
each week...i am learning something new about 'LOVE'
everyone desires to be loved
this desire cannot and will not be satisfied
other than God's love

again and again

i am so thankful
for our Lord is never tired in telling how much He loves us

i was reminded
by how much i was loved by God

'this is how we know what love is: Christ gave his life for us...'
1John 3:16

Christ gave his life for me!!

i really have to savour each word from the love letter from God.
there are too many amazing promises
i wouldn't want to miss any of it

message from sunday service yesterday:
how can we love each other?
first and the most important of all is:
we need to experience God's love, live in God's love and reponse to God's love by loving Him back.
then...we can love our neighours...our friends...our family...and people around us.
